all about aud brighton

Frankly, there are so many vintage clothes shops in Brighton, it’s hard to know where to start, so I hope this guide to vintage boutique shopping in Brighton will come in handy. Each shop I’ve chosen is unique in its own way and I guarantee not a musty-damp-smelling vintage shop in sight.

1 All About Audrey on Trafalgar Street is a treasure trove of bohemian/gypsy-style vintage clothes from the 60s and 70s packed into a quaint North Laine shop. The owners especially love Indian prints, make their own line of 70s-style dresses out of vintage fabrics and have lots of fun accessories perfect for festivals.

2 Hope and Harlequin. I like to describe this as Brighton’s hidden vintage boutique, for its location along an alleyway in the middle of busy central Brighton. They’ve everything from 60s and 70s Ossie Clark, Biba and Bus Stop, 70s kaftans and jackets from India, big sunglasses, platform shoes, 40s tea dresses, 20s lawn dresses and a great selection of vintage designer gowns, too.

4 Wolf and Gypsy. This cool vintage shop in the North Laine stocks a curated selection of vintage pieces that reflect modern styles – think 90s crinkle tops, 70s smock dresses, 80s neon cardis and dresses. They also sell new pieces including tie-die sweatshirts and pyjamas, as well as homewares. It’s always fun to walk past and notice the window display which changes with the season or reflects events or news.
