Hi, I'm Ellie. I'm an award-winning travel journalist and author based in Brighton.

Ellie & Co is my independent travel publication for curious travellers who like to slow down and go deeper. I started it in 2016, after leaving a job on a travel magazine, and it has grown from my home patch of Brighton and Sussex to Europe, Morocco and America.

For me, travel is about how you see the world, not where you go. I love local museums, cosy neighbourhood restaurants, daytime cinema trips, boutique hotels with history, hiking to country pubs, red wine, my cats and New York City, which I visit every year.

I was born in Scotland, grew up in London, studied English Literature and moved to Brighton in the early 2000s on a whim.
