I like checking out a unique art installation (like these infinity mirrored rooms and the New York bodega made entirely of felt) so was intrigued to read about this incredible abandoned Modernist home art installation – After You Left – at the great Victoria Miro Gallery in London.
The crumbling Modernist home sits in the gallery’s back garden pond which has been turned into a green-mossy swap and is completely overgrown by palm trees, ferns, tropical plants, tree roots and branches. It feels at once creepy but so beautiful as the light streams through the windows and leaves. The artist wanted the scene to feel incongruous to the modern block of flats behind the gallery.
The show is on until 16 December.
