Italian artist, Pierpaolo Rovero (what a great name), lives in Turin and paints these warm graphic-style scenes of life playing out in famous cities around the world. They form a series he calls ‘Imagine all the People’, after – you’ve guessed it – the famous John Lennon song (now stuck in your head for the next few hours, sorry).

What’s also exciting (to me, anyway) is that on his website, he’s zoomed into several little details in each painting for a closer look at, for example, people drinking wine on their balconies, dancing in the streets, having dinner in their apartments, going shopping or playing games.
