dr pepper served hot 1960

I was looking on Pinterest for an alternative drink to mulled wine, a vintage-style party cocktail maybe, when I came across these adverts for Dr Pepper – served hot! Just think of it as the perfect alternative holiday party drink – your guests will be so impressed. Apparently in the 1960s, the soft drink brand marketed it as some kind of non-alcoholic alternative to mulled wine. Who knew! I love a mulled wine or three so will find it hard to give up, but I’m still intrigued to try it…

Easy to prepare, simply heat Dr Pepper in a saucepan until it steams and pour into a glass or cup over a slice of lemon. Perfect for when the family or friends drop in. Or take a flask of hot Dr Pepper when enjoying outdoor activities. Hot Dr Pepper – the distinctive Winter Warmer!
