Last week for Dan’s birthday I ordered a box of cakes (pictured!) from a little micro bakehouse in Brighton called, Abeille Bakery – pronounced Ah-Bee-eye. I discovered it on a scroll through Instagram and turns out it’s just around the corner from me! Bonus!
It’s run by the lovely Luisa, who specialises in these eye-popping bespoke cakes. Don’t they look amazing?
She’s basically the Frida Kahlo of home baking for her bold colours and adventurous flavours – think vanilla sponge with rum-spiked icing, cappuccino Kahlua sponge with hazelnut and espresso icing or lemon and mint with rosemary. The combinations are endless.
